Human Resources (HR) is a department at NMAH that is charged with searching, recruiting, screening, and orienting job applicants, contract staff, service personnel and interns. The department also administers employee benefit programs.
The HR department plays a key role in helping Nagel deal with a fast-changing business environment and a greater demand for quality services.

She is the Human Resource Manager for the facility. She completed her BSc education at the Valley View University. The Human Resource Manager plans, coordinates, and directs the administrative functions of the facility. She oversees the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff; consult with top executives on strategic planning and serves as a link between the organization’s management and its staff. She also consults with top executives regarding strategic planning and talent management.
Her office identifies ways to maximize the value of the organization’s employees and ensures that they are used efficiently. For example, she might assess worker productivity and recommend changes to help the organization meet budgetary goals. She also serves as the payroll manager, supervises the organization’s payroll system (validation). She ensures that all aspects of payroll are processed correctly and on time.
Her office administers payroll procedures, prepares reports for the accounting department, and resolves payroll problems. The office also oversees employment policies in union and non-union settings. The head negotiates, drafts, and administers labor contracts that cover issues such as wages, benefits, and union and management practices. The office also handles labor conflicts between employees and management, and coordinates grievance procedures.
The unit operates from, 8:30am to 5:00pm every day, except holidays and weekends.
