CHAPLAIN OF INSTITUTION
The hospital chaplain offers spiritual guidance and pastoral care to patients and their families. As representative of religious traditions, the chaplain uses the insights and principles of psychology, religion, spirituality, and theology.

Pr. Joshua Kaku is a Chaplain at Nagel Memorial Adventist Hospital, Takoradi. Pr. Joshua Kaku is an Ordained Minister of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and a professional counsellor of Nagel Memorial Adventist Hospital, Takoradi.
EDUCATION
He entered the Pentecost Preparatory School, Takoradi for his basic education from 1993-1996 and continued to Mfantsipim School, Cape Coast from 1996-1999 where he graduated as the Best History student for the school. He then furthered his education at the Valley View University from 2002-2006 and passed successfully with B.A. Religion, after which he continued at the University of Cape Coast and graduated with M.A. Guidance and Counselling from 2012-2013 and from 2018-2019.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Pr. Joshua Kaku was appointed as a Chaplain at Nagel Memorial Adventist Hospital from the year 2019 to date. In 2011, he was appointed a Chaplain of Adventist Senior High School, Takoradi and a church pastor in Kwesimintim Adventist Church. In 2012, he was vested with the credential of a District Pastor and in 2014, he was appointed and voted as the Youth Director of the South-West Ghana Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, Western Region. He has held this position up to date.

Pr. Joshua Kaku’s area of professional research interest is in the area of youth groups and is very passionate about respect for every individual.
